About Us      Property Renovation      Carpentry & Joinery      Oak Frame      Contact

Our Oak framed projects are all still to this day steeped in traditional values that are tailor made to every project. We still use traditional jointing techniques that have been used for hundreds of years. Using these techniques results in a product that delivers an end product that maintains a quality that is often lost in modern day construction.

Oak Porches
At R J Heathcote our Oak Porches are individually crafted to your own design, tailor made to suite your property type and budget.

An oak framed porch can make a fantastic first impression to your property, complimented with handmade clay or slate tiles. Whether it's an enclosed or open porch, we can adjust to your requirements.
A handmade oak front door also finishes the look that projects craftsmanship and quality.

Traditional Oak Truss / Roof Construction
We understand that when converting old buildings, measurements can vary as a building moves thorough the years, and dealing with such settlement can make for a challenging project. We are very flexible in the way we work often working on site, preparing the trusses at the project in situ, this allows us the flexibility to re-measure and adjust to any amendments that have to be made, always working along side and communicating with other trades to deliver every time.

To complement Oak Truss construction we complete the package with a hand cut traditional roof that sits above the oak truss, and this is bespoke to every project.  Again we use skills and technics that haven't altered over hundreds of years. This type of roof construction is the most favoured choice when buildings are in the renovation process, and which are often not square, parallel, or are out of level. We can overcome all such issues when using this method of construction.
